At Dog Nanny Academy, each appointment is thoughtfully reserved to provide a calm, personalised and unhurried experience for your dog. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I kindly ask for a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.
- Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at 50% of the scheduled service.
- Missed appointments without prior notice will be charged at 100% of the service fee.
- If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, you might have to reschedule due to running a strict appointment system. Please let me know if in advance if this is the case and i will try and be accommodating.
All grooming services will be carried out with the welfare of the dog as the highest priority. Prices may vary depending on coat condition, behaviour, and time required.
Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, worming, and flea treatments.
Aggressive or severely anxious behaviour may result in services being refused for safety reasons.
Dogs must be on a regular flea and worming programme. If fleas are discovered during grooming, an additional charge will apply for salon fumigation and flea shampoo.
Owners must inform the groomer of any medical conditions, injuries, or behavioural issues. Grooming may uncover health issues (e.g. skin conditions, ear infections, lumps). Groomers are not vets but will advise the owner to seek veterinary care.
Severely matted dogs may need a 'welfare clip' (shaved short) to prevent pain and suffering. Additional fees apply due to the extra time and wear on equipment.
Owners must raise any concerns about the groom before leaving the salon. Reasonable corrections will be made free of charge within 48 hours. After this time, fees may apply.
With permission, before/after photos may be used on the business website or social media.
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), all personal data provided will be stored securely and used only for the purposes of delivering grooming services. Information will not be shared with third parties without consent, except in emergencies or where legally required. Customers have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of their data at any time.
Grooming may uncover underlying health or skin issues not previously visible.
While every effort is made to ensure safety, grooming carries a small risk of nicks, cuts, or stress-related reactions.
Severe matting may require shaving for the welfare of the dog.
The salon cannot be held responsible for pre-existing conditions or issues arising after the appointment.
